Fertility
Acupuncture is one of the most popular forms of alternative medicine used to improve fertility and treat infertility. 1 in 4 couples seek acupuncture to help them conceive. To achieve pregnancy, your body requires the help of many hormones (e.g., FSH, LH, estrogen, and progesterone) to work together in harmony. Acupuncture helps regulate hormones, which in turn promotes more regular menstrual cycles, ovulation, follicular development, and a healthier uterine lining. These are just a few ways acupuncture can help with fertility; read below to find out more about how acupuncture can improve your chances of fertility.
FAQ:
1. What does a course of treatment include?
A course of treatment for fertility acupuncture lasts three months. 2x/week for the first month and 1x/week for the second and third months. The reason we recommend this course of treatment is that it takes three months to impact sperm quality and egg quality successfully. We are preparing the soil of your garden before you plant your seeds.
2. How long does each session take?
Your initial appointment is 90 minutes. All follow-up appointments are 45-60 minutes.
3. I don't have acupuncture coverage, but I do have physiotherapy coverage. Can I use physiotherapy insurance for fertility acupuncture?
Fertility acupuncture is not within the scope of physiotherapy. So we cannot bill it under physiotherapy. It can be billed under acupuncture only.
